Pretty in Pink Layout

Today I’m sharing my latest creation for The Crafty Scrapper design team: a layout I made using the new Julie Nutting “Belle Vie” collection and Maya Road goodies.

I started with one of the 12×12 papers from the collection – “Floral.” Because the pattern on this paper is a little busy, I masked an area in the center using craft paint to really make my photo stand out. I cut out the quote from another paper in the collection.

I used Glossy Accents to draw random circles around my photo and then sprinkled on the glitter. For even more sparkle, I added a few vintage sequins and a couple of the new Tim Holtz mirrored hearts.

To give my layout an anchor, I layered a couple of beautiful organza and silk ribbons from May Arts. I made a fluffy ruffle, which I stitched to the layout. I continued layering embellishments – more trims, Maya Road flowers, and a super sweet Maya Road pink deer. The floral sticker is also from the Julie Nutting “Belle Vie” collection.

OMWord, this is so gorgeous, Erica! I love this Julie Nutting collection, and you have used it beautifully! I really like how you created a blank space for your photo, and then created some framework with the glossy accents and glitter. The mirrored hearts and vintage sequins are a great touch, and I am crazy about that little pink deer. Absolutely LOVE your fluffy ruffle, too! Stunning!
