Father’s Day Card

I always struggle when making masculine cards. Part of the problem is that I don’t buy masculine supplies. I love flowers and pink and glitter, which are not things I would put on a Father’s Day card. So, I dug deep into my stash to find some papers I could use to make a card for my dad for his special day.

I started by layering some patterned papers for the background. I had stained the vintage sheet music with Distress Stain for an earlier project, but it was too dark for this card, so I applied some Weathered Wood Distress Paint to tone it down.

I layered a few more paper scraps and then added a sentiment that I made with my label maker. The images are from Graphic 45’s Perfect Gentleman collection.

I hope this Father’s Day you’re able to treat dad to a nice, relaxing day.

I know what you mean….. I struggle with masculine designs, too. But I think you really nailed this one! Love the papers and torn edges here, and those vintage images are perfect. Love the label maker sentiment strips, too!
