December 1

Here it is! The Countdown to Christmas has begun!

All this month, I’ll be sharing the matchboxes I sent and received in the Swap for All Seasons matchbox swap. I’ll also share the cards, gifts, and decorations I’m making for this Christmas. Without further ado, here are the boxes for December 1.

This is the matchbox and gift I sent:

And here is the box and gift I received. This one is from Carol Gomer. Isn’t that a lovely little charm? It’s currently a little ornament on my pink tree with the rest of the matchboxes waiting to be opened!

Countdown to Christmas

It’s coming… It’s getting closer… Soon we’ll all be celebrating!

Starting tomorrow, visit Zunky Chic daily for the Countdown to Christmas! I’ll be sharing matchboxes from my swap at A Swap for All Seasons in addition to the projects I’ve been working on for Christmas. I hope you’ll stop by and check it out!

NOEL Banner

I received a banner kit from Dede Warren. It was very easy to put together, and now I have another vintage style decoration for my Christmas house.

Victorian Christmas

I’ve been busy making Christmas ornaments. Here is one that I love and I’m hoping to make more for every holiday. I got this idea from the super-talented Ann-Denise Anderson.

I punched a pile of circles from vintage sheet music and folded them into tiny cones. Then I glittered each cone and adhered it to a chipboard base.

I glued vintage style tinsel to the photo and then adhered a satin ribbon that I stitched into a ruffle.

I embellished the focal point a little more, added a gathering of tulle to the back, and glued on a wide ribbon for hanging. I can’t wait to get this one hung up with my decorations!

One Project Completed

I’m participating in a Christmas matchbox swap over at A Swap for All Seasons. Even thought Christmas is still 2 1/2 months away, I had to get these done and mailed out this week to get them in on time for the swap. Here’s a peek at my boxes. You’ll have to wait until December to see each one, and see the matchboxes I get in return.

I can show you the box I made for the hostess. I used a vintage postage stamp and coated it with Crackle Accents. I used Enamel Accents to decorate the gold paper.

Each box has a little gift tucked inside. Here is the hostess gift in mine – a little mini book, perfect for displaying index prints.

One swap down, three more to go. I’m getting there!
