Easter Parade

A couple of years ago, I saw an adorable post on the Creative Breathing blog of her Easter Parade, and I knew I had to have one for myself. I already had a couple of these vintage planters, so I began collecting more. I didn’t get around to making the parade last year, but this year I was determined that we would have an Easter Parade, right here on our very own dining table.

First, I set a pretty spring table. I used some of my vintage dishes, and added in a few new pieces.

Our parade kicks off with the official bunny banner holders.

This float was a judge’s favorite and won first prize (I have a little trophy attached on the other side).

I made little party hats and decked out each float with crepe paper ruffles, flowers, glitter…

An American In Paris

Today I’m sharing my first project as part of The Crafty Scrapper design team! Please take a minute to visit their blog and check out all the beautiful projects the team has been working on.

I created a mini album for a trip to Paris my husband and I took a little while back. I used papers from the Fab Scraps Love 2 Travel collection. I used a Tim Holtz Idea-ology Cabinet Card for the base of my cover, and embellished with flowers, including a rolled ribbon rose. A touch of vintage lace finishes it.

I printed my photos in black and white to complement the vintage feel of the papers...

Crafty Scrapper Sneak Peek

I recently joined the design team at The Crafty Scrapper, my favorite local scrapbook store in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. It is located in the quaint town of Waxahachie, right on the town square, which has a beautiful old courthouse and many shops and restaurants to while away the hours on a sunny spring Saturday. Have I tempted you to make a visit?

Tomorrow is my first project post on their blog, but here is a little sneak peek:

Check back tomorrow for the full reveal!

Enter…if you dare!

It’s been months and months since I’ve given my blog some attention. We have been so busy working on the house – we had the master bathroom remodeled, painted nearly every room in the house, and built a new home theater. It’s coming along, but we still have more to do.

I did take a little crafty time to work on Halloween projects. I’m participating in Vintage Dragonfly’s Halloween Paper Bag Album swap. Here are the pages I created.

The cover features a haunted house image, along with a scary twosome, inviting you to come inside.

I went with a theme of a coven of witches who inhabit this haunted house.

I used several vintage images, and added lots of sparkle. What’s Halloween magic without sparkle?

Christmas Time Is Here

It has been so long since I posted on my blog! We have been very busy remodeling and redecorating our new house. I haven’t had a lot of time for crafting, but I have been working on a few little Christmas projects that I hope to share this month.

I’ve been working on my Christmas cards, and I always love using vintage images on the cards. Here are a few vintage Christmas images that you can use in your projects.

I hope you’re enjoying this festive season!
